My Experience:
My name is Sharon; I run a private practice, providing counselling to individuals; I am also a qualified Clinical Supervisor supporting individuals and groups to develop their clinical practice.
I enjoy a rewarding role charity Black Minds Matter (BMMUK), as a Senior Therapist and am a longstanding member of the Black, African and Asian Therapy Network (BAATN), where I also hold the privileged role of Mentor to trainee and newly qualified counsellors. I am a Clinical Supervisor with the national Bereavement charity Cruse, who I support as a volunteer.
My therapeutic experience includes the setting up and running of a school-based counselling service in London, supervising the clinical practice of a team of Children's Counsellors in their therapeutic work with children aged 5 to 14. I have provided crisis counselling to young people referred via CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services); I have practiced as a university-based Student Counsellor. I also have a number of years experience as a freelance therapist with local NHS services, providing IAPT short-term counselling to NHS clients.
